Published Article(Motivational): THE JOYS OF WINNING 1999 H.E.Couron
What causes the brain to revel in knowing that it has 'out thought the herd?' Why is this accomplishment such an exciting rush to the psyche?
All the varied interactions that led to the winning moments were well thought out and even more, believed. So complex were these processes that they became a functional group from among one single driving ambition. Almost destined in its course, others could see it. They followed trying to grab the coat-tail of a so-called, 'success'. The winner knew it. He could see the prize ahead. It was clearly in sight, easy to claim. Nothing could stop the winner now, focused for the touchdown, relaxed and easily driven, it was almost too easy. Elation! A glow of self-worth to follow.
So short was this victory. In a wink of an eye the winner became yesterday. It is human nature to keep trying. Continuing on to further endeavors, any failure becomes a prod, a procurement to obtain more goals of fulfillment. Ah, such is human nature and living life to the fullest. Finding one's niche is the manifestation of the dream. Having goals to attain, and aspiring to one's own advancements develops self-knowledge. Knowing yourself and having the confidence and trust to achieve towards victory breeds worthiness from accomplishment. Even without a successful win there is triumph in perseverance.
How about the person who tries over and over again, only to, in his eyes, fail? Does he give up? Does he curl up in the corner and mope? The answer is no. The true winner keeps a pulse on the game and keeps plugging on to master the goal. Focused, alive, and ready to try again the winner loves the sport. He learns from his mistakes and does not repeat what did not work before. He watches those that have won and develops his own way through others that have been successful before him. He emerges among those that aspire to his same beliefs.
The rewards, great and the efforts, redeeming. Keep on to victory!
So is the life of the writer.

***** HELP ME! HELP ME!-Outstanding and relevant, Jan 19, 2004 REVIEWER: Aaron C.C. (CA) Eleanor Aspin's book is geared towards the preschool/kindergarten child. It presents situations that would require a child to dial 9-1-1. The beauty of this book is the genuine and elementary presentation of the situations that would make sense to a young chld. It does a great job of not scaring children with the pictures, and presents the information in an entertaining and understandable way. I would highly recommend this selection to all parents with young children. It could save their lives!
